Our Story

Woman crocheting on purple couch in vibrant room

Crocheted Chimerism started with a single hook, a pile of yarn that refused to behave, and the stubborn idea that clothing should fit people, not the other way around. I’m Kendra—the hands behind the stitches, the voice behind the chaos, and the believer that “handmade” means made for actual humans.

I don’t work in a pristine studio surrounded by neatly wound skeins and perfect lighting. That was just for this picture! Most of my pieces are born in my bed, under a heap of blankets, cats, and half-finished projects—or at fiber meetups where laughter tangles with yarn as easily as the threads do. My workspace travels with me: a bag full of hooks, colors, and too much coffee.

Crocheted Chimerism is for anyone who’s ever tried on something “one-size-fits-all” and laughed out loud. Every pattern I adapt, every texture I choose, every hour I spend hunched over yarn is driven by one goal: to make wearable art that feels as good as it looks. Cozy doesn’t have to mean boring, and inclusive doesn’t have to mean shapeless.

I believe in slow fashion—pieces that carry the maker’s fingerprints, the buyer’s individuality, and the story in between. I don’t chase trends; I chase fit, comfort, and joy. My designs are experiments in softness and structure, blending color and personality until they look like something only you could wear.

Whether you’re here to find your next favorite cardigan or to support a small, sleep-deprived artist who crochets wherever she can sit still long enough, welcome. Every stitch here is a little bit of rebellion, a little bit of comfort, and a whole lot of care.
